Kim’s pieces are exquisite sculptural interpretations of the human form as a vessel. Central to her work is the subject of individuality and imperfection through the analysis of historical objects and contemporary concerns.
Last year our campaign message said that we had our work cut out for us in 2019 – and we were right!
Thanks to community support we have been able to build up Craft Ontario throughout the year with a strong staff, board and volunteer team. We delivered a new Strategic Plan that focuses our role to champion craft by supporting and promoting craft artists and their work through the strategic goals of collaboration, cultivation and connection.
We also increased our exhibition and workshop programming, offered members new opportunities through curated retail features and representation at the Montreal Salon, developed relationships with our neighbours to host tours and deliver our best fundraising event yet, and welcomed both new members and staff to our community.
We hope that you will join us this year with a donation as a demonstration of your belief in the impact that Craft Ontario makes as a vital connection point.
Your donation will enable Craft Ontario move into 2020 to further grow exhibition and professional development programming; increase our ability to celebrate and discover craft through features, publications and promotion; and create opportunities to support and grow professionalism in the craft sector – to champion craft!
