Katie holds an Honors in Fine Arts in ceramics from Lakehead University and a Masters in Fine Arts from the Peck School of the Arts in Wisconsin, Milwaukee. Her social work continues to drive her artistic narrative as she works in her at-home studio. She feels that as a Support Worker for youths with communicative differences, it works in tandem with her sculptural research.

Fascinated by the intricacies of posture and facial expression as either intentional or subconscious dictation. The most communicative traits can be best translated through clay. Ultimately my practice aims to explore the permeability between both the barriers to expression, as well as the apertures through which ideas pass fluidly, rendering inside and outside indistinguishable.
