Christine Torres is a ceramicist based in Port Stanley, Ontario, with over a decade of experience in the medium. Operating under the name Schnortzy’s Pottery-a tribute in memory of her late father and the nickname he had for her- Christine's work is known for her “fun and never stagnant” approach to clay. Using a palette of bright and punchy colours, she brings a sense of quirky joy to functional pottery. While not formally educated in ceramics, Christine has built her skill through a dedicated, self-directed path, participating in numerous workshops over the years-a practice she continues today to keep her techniques evolving. A member of both the London and Hamilton Potters Guilds, her work is featured in select retail spaces and galleries.
