How do we remember a loved one?
Sophie loves her granny more than she loves stars or books or her hamster. And when Granny passes away, Sophie misses her more than she can say. The flowers Sophie brings to Granny’s grave always fade too soon. When Sophie learns that some people place stones on loved ones’ graves, because stones last forever, she has an idea for a special way to remember Granny and the times they shared.

Kathy Kacer’s books have won a number of awards, including the Silver Birch and the Jewish Book Award. A former psychologist, Kathy now travels the globe speaking to children and adults about the importance of keeping the memory of the Holocaust alive. Kathy lives in Toronto with her family.
Hayley Lowe is an illustrator and storyteller living in Vancouver B.C. She enjoys exploring a range of media but is particularly drawn to pencil, charcoal, gouache and procreate. When not at her desk dreaming up stories Hayley can be found walking in the forest with her family and friends.
