Arviat is a traditional Inuit community of 1500 people located on the west shore of Hudson's Bay in Northern Canada. This is the place that polar bears and beluga whales call home, it is also where ulus and inukshuks are found. Arviat's unique products attest to the sewing skill that Inuit women have developed over years of making traditional clothing. The wall hangings and other artworks capture the image of the region.
Local seamstresses have carefully and skillfully made this unique product using traditional designs. "Kiluk" means stitch in the Inuktuit language.
