Veronica grew up living a traditional Inuit nomadic lifestyle that involved hunting and fishing for food and clothing.
Veronica is known for her detailed wall hangings often depicting stories or legends on a “canvas” - her signature look - in the shape of a drying seal skin. Using vibrant colors and patterns, with embroidered borders, her work offers a window into Inuit beliefs and traditions.
Among a long list of accomplishments and recognition, Veronica was presented the diamond jubilee medal for her contribution to art and culture in 2013.
