I am Christine Torres, the maker behind Schnortzy’s Pottery. Schnortzy was a nickname my father had for me. He was a designer, a maker, a craftsman.
He passed away before I started my journey with clay. I came to realize, the apple didn't fall far. In honour of our bond and to keep the memory forever present, I sign my pots Schnortzy.
I create functional ceramics out of my home studio in Port Stanley, Ontario. Colour, pattern and my imagination are my inspiration.
