Crescent Puffed Ring

Each puffed ring shares the weight and feel of the Puffed Collection they are part of, yet are distinct because of a variation on the techniques used in the series. Made from two distinct pieces of silver that have been joined in strategic locations, the rings suggest volume with very little weight. Visually light and airy when viewed from one angle, then substantial and solid from another. These rings are interesting and beautiful both on your finger and one their own. This ring is specifically designed for a two-tone finish: brushed faces with high polished edges.

From Toronto, Margaret Lim majored in Material Art and Design with a focus on metal and jewellery at OCAD University and is a previous artist in residence at Harbourfront Centre.

"The focus of my work is in traditional gold smithing techniques which relies on knowledge and the exploration of metallurgy. I find my inspiration in production processes, materials and cultural perceptions.
