I have a fascination with line and the structure of patterns. This intrigue began during my studies at Sheridan College studying ancient artifacts at the Textile Museum of Canada. The human mark and quality of the handmade object evokes energy and holds a presence that has always piqued my curiosity. In my practice, I have focused on working with washi (handmade Japanese paper), metal and printmaking. As an artist I am driven to learn as much as I can about my chosen materials as well as ways of working with them. Experimentation also keeps the work fresh.
