Margaret Lim is from Toronto and completed a Bachelor of Design at OCAD University, majoring in Material Art and Design with a focus on metal and jewellery.

"I have had the privilege of working with some of the most incredible individuals throughout my making career. Having met most of them as a student at OCAD and when I was an artist in resident in Harbourfront Centre’s craft studios.

The focus of my work is in traditional gold smithing techniques which relies on knowledge and the exploration of metallurgy. I find my inspiration in production processes, materials and cultural perceptions.

I hope that the wearers of my work enjoy their pieces for a long time and pass it down to those they love to be further enjoyed."
