"Woven + Carved" Glass Vase #19

The Woven Vessel series is inspired by traditional Panamanian textiles. They come in a variety of shapes and sizes. White glass frit dots the surface of the opaque, black forms. This piece has had the outer layer carved into, to reveal the pink glass below. These are sure to suit any style of décor!

Raised in Panama City, Nadira Narine has a deep interest in her cultural roots. Having lived in Canada for a little over a decade, she explores objects and memories from her childhood as a means of self-discovery and connection to home.

Nadira is an Artist in Residence at the Living Art Centre, a former AIR at Harbourfront, appears on Netflix's Blown Away, received the 2020 Jurors Choice Award for DesignCon, and was a finalist for the prestigious 2023 RBC Glass Award.
