Jewellery Showcase: Enarmoured

Jewellery Showcase: Enarmoured

Enarmoured is a collection of handcrafted fine art jewellery by Toronto based artist, Jordan Clarke.

The name Enarmoured is a play on Jordan's middle name, Armour, and the feeling of being enamored with something. In her case it is a passion for jewellery making. The collection explores the idea of protective adornment as both feminine and elegant and draws design inspiration from Medieval armor and shields.

Jordan graduated from OCAD University in Toronto with a BFA in Painting and Drawing. After working fulltime as a painter for nearly a decade, she returned to learning and took night classes at the George Brown College jewellery program.

What she enjoys most about creating jewellery is that each stage offers a new tactile experience. Every piece, from the initial sketch to completion, is formed lovingly by hand, using both traditional and innovative jewellery-making techniques, to create ‘wearable art’.

All Enarmoured jewellery is made using raw brass or silver sheet metal. Each piece is hand-cut with a jeweller's saw, the edges are filed and any scratches or marks are sanded away. A variety of hammers are used to achieve different finishes. To ensure that none of the pieces lie completely flat, they are given dimension, formed with a rawhide mallet. All of this results in her signature, bold, elegant and timeless pieces of small-batch jewellery.

Visit Jordan Clarke's Jewellery Showcase in the Craft Ontario Distillery Shop from July 19 – September 7, 2025. You can view the entire collection here!
