Join us in the Craft Ontario Shop from April 29 - May 26 to see featured ceramic work by Dianne Lee!
Dianne Lee’s Handy series feature a distinctive edge to each vessel that shows the outline of cupped hands that welcome and care for the objects placed within.
Pops of bright glaze colours and juicy contrasts between matte and gloss surfaces, along with a dynamic graphic approach, give a unique character to each piece.
Enjoy daily life with the Handy ceramic series - treat your plants to the most loving home they could ever have with a Handy Planter, enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner with a Handy Bowl, or add colour to your living space with a Handy Platter.
Each Handy Planter comes with a base that cradles the planter within – a perfect union for easy watering to keep your plants healthy and looking their absolute best!
Dianne Lee is a Toronto based ceramic artist and graduate of OCAD University. Dianne uses clay to explore and examine process art, personal narratives and the vessel. She explores this through functional objects, installation and multimedia.
The notion of the vessel and its historical relationship to narratives further informs her practice as she creates work that examines ideas of containment, fragility, and permanence.
Dianne has exhibited internationally, and sells locally. She teaches ceramics out of her Toronto east end Studio, as well as at the Gardiner Museum, The Jewish Community Centre, and OCAD University.
