Vesna Mostovac is best known for her underground comic Foolish Girl, launched in 1995 within the underground comix and zine scene. Foolish Girl has appeared in publications as diverse as NOW, Exclaim! and The Globe & Mail. In 2005, Vesna directed a pilot episode for Foolish Girl: The Animated Series, which aired on CBC’s Zed TV (CCI Entertainment).

She also illustrated Darkness Then a Blown Kiss (Gutter Press), a novel by Governor General’s Award nominee Golda Fried. 

With over 30 years of experience in animation, Vesna has worked on numerous acclaimed television projects such as WGBH’s Peep and the Big Wide World, Looney Tunes and Tom and Jerry for Warner Bros.

In 2024, Vesna shifted her creative focus to ceramics, studying extensively at Parkdale Pottery Studio, where she is now a member. Combining her illustrative background with her new medium, she continues to explore storytelling through ceramic art.
