Originally from Wales, Vivienne studied at the Birmingham School of Jewellery in England and moved to Toronto, Canada after graduation. She has maintained a long career as a contemporary jewellery artist selling her work through her own studio locations, galleries and participating in curated exhibitions in Canada  and beyond. In 2003 she was elected into the Royal Canadian Academy of the Arts.

In recent years Vivienne expanded her work to include the use of resins and re purposed materials and also to the creation of free standing and framed sculptural forms working with a variety of metals and materials.
