Spirograph Hoop Earring Large

The freshwater pearl on a silver stud has been sanded to expose the internal pattern. Below it dangle 6 hand fabricated hoops and the cast centre component holds a delicate red sapphire. 

Sterling Silver, fresh water pearl, 2 mm sapphires.
Each hoop is 2.8 cm diameter. Earring length 5 cm.

Edna Milevsky is a fellow of the Canadian Gemmological Association and a graduate of George Brown College’s Jewellery Arts & Gemmology programs. In 2019 she was the first runner-up at the DeBeers Shining Light Design initiative in Gaborone Botswana.

Edna is inspired by pattern and textures. She employs traditional gold-smithing techniques to create intricate pieces. Equally important is the kinetic quality found in her jewellery. Pearls are featured prominently in many of her pieces.
