"The 70’s" is a large ceramic lidded jar featuring abstract black, white, and yellow designs. Handbuilt and decorated with slip for a textured, graphic finish.

Marianne Fisher is a ceramic artist based in Middlesex County, Ontario. She lives and maintains a studio surrounded by a huge sky, fields and a small forest - landscapes that often find their way into her ceramic work. After completing a time at The University of Western Ontario, Fisher began her career in the clay in the 90's and it has been her exclusive medium ever since. Her latest work has involved hand building large covered jars. Their surfaces have a pallet of vivid colours, varied textures, and different applied shapes.
