Lido Pimienta is a Colombian born interdisciplinary artist-curator and Grammy-award winning musician. She has performed, exhibited, and curated around the world since 2002. She also won the Polaris Prize in 2016. Her work explores the politics of gender, race, motherhood, identity and the construct of the Canadian landscape in the Latin American Diaspora and vernacular.
Her art pop illustrations she turned into jewellery and decor, with a strong linear quality and vibrancy of colour. Her work is informed by her politics and identity.
