Tony Ohutaq, comes from a lineage of artists. His father is Enooky Oqutaq (brother of renowned Oshuitok Ipeelie) and his mother is Qimipiqiluq Oqutaq. One of Tony’s grandmothers was the great Sheojuk Oqutaq.

Tony began carving when he was 20 years of age. His favourite subject matter includes polar bears because as he says, “I am amazed that polar bears are so powerful and are such good hunters”.
