Beaded Sealskin Earrings
These beautiful sealskin earrings are lined with the vibrant colours of the rainbow. Red, orange, yellow, green, and blue beads run along the edge creating an ulu shaped border around the sealskin. Purple gems ornament the bottom edge of the earrings.
An ulu is a tool traditionally used by Inuit women as an all-purpose knife. It is utilized in applications as diverse as skinning and cleaning animals, cutting a child's hair, cutting food and, if necessary, trimming blocks of snow and ice used to build igloos.
