Damien Iqualla (Akayalook Ikuallaq in Inuktitut) is a 4th generation Netsilik Inuit artist, originally from Gjoa Haven, Nunavut, Canada. Damien's family heritage is profoundly rooted in the traditional Netsilik Inuit Arts, which is his driving force and motivation behind his world renowned art works.

The Netsilik Inuit traditionally created dramatic and expressive style of works. Netsilik Inuit Art is known to the region and throughout the world for its unique style, often depicting real world characters and mythical stories.

Over the past 10 years, Damien has developed his skills in carving bone and stone in and around Gjoa Haven with various institutions throughout the country and with the mentorship of skilled artisans.

More recently, Damien has branched out into creating jewelry and accessories for men and women created out of natural materials responsibly sourced by Inuit of Nunavut and reputable suppliers worldwide.
