Dana was trained as an architect and worked for 10 years in architectural firms, before she decided to switch to art. For the next 20 years she was designing and manufacturing painted silk fabric and art wear made of hand painted silk. Her production and one of a kind pieces were sold through her Toronto based business Artacious Inc.
Since moving to a small town in the Canadian Rockies in 1997, Dana became a studio artist and now works in acrylics, pastels, watercolors, monoprints, mixed media and textiles (specifically painted silk). Dana won many awards for her art.
Dana finds inspiration while hiking in the backcountry, climbing mountains, and skiing. She also spends time kayaking between the islands of Georgian Bay.
