Often carving owls and bears, Adamie’s signature birds often depict both wings upraised. Many of his carvings play with balance, with animals and birds balanced on one foot, in dance or expressing joy. The naturalistic rendering of his work lends itself to the popularity of his work. Working often on a small scale, Adamie’s carvings depict a joy and humour that is infectious.
