Multi-Coloured Daisy Brooch

A multi-coloured daisy brooch crafted from a variety of fulled wool sweaters. The center swirl is wrapped in two layers of brass zipper and accented with glass bugle beads. Each petal is meticulously edged in brass zipper and further embellished with glass bugle and seed beads.

Odile Gova is a mixed media fibre artist who focuses on boldly contrasting colours and textures in ever-evolving patterns and forms. Born in Timmins, Ontario, she has lived in the greater Toronto area for the past 40 years.

With a background as a painter for the first two decades of her career, Gova now approaches every brooch as a tiny canvas. Self taught, she has developed and designed Woolly Fabulous, a line of textile jewelry, over the past 15 years.
