Laura Pitkanen is an Artisan and Carver. She sustainably harvests and hand carves Juniper wood in the Georgian Bay region of Ontario. Juniper knives are a staple in Finnish households and Laura's knives are her contemporary designs of a traditional Finnish household item. Finns are known as the Juniper people, strong and resilient. Each of Laura's knives are unique and slowly hand carved to enhance the natural grain of this durable, fragrant wood.
