Brass, sterling silver (ear wire), powder coat. Lasercut and hand fabricated.

Sorrel Van Allen is a contemporary jeweller and sculptural object artist.

Sorrel studied Welding and Blacksmithing in Nelson, BC before earning a BFA in Jewellery Design and Metalsmithing from the NSCAD University, Halifax.

Beginning with flat sheet metal, Sorrel forms and fabricates intricate sculptures and jewellery pieces, creating a unique visual language through repetitive surface marks and patination. Fascinated with developing repeating patterns and textures, she uses botany as inspiration for her jewellery and object designs, often gathering inspiration for her work while on walks and hikes along the coastal regions of Nova Scotia.
