Art of the Book 2018

An international juried exhibition of works by members of the Canadian Bookbinders and Book Artists Guild

March 5 - July 15, 2020

Reception: March 12 from 5-8pm
Craft Ontario Gallery, 1106 Queen Street West, Toronto

An 'Art of the Book' exhibition occurs every five years. The 2018 exhibition was organized by the CBBAG BC Islands Chapter and will travel to nine provinces.

'Art of the Book 2018' showcases book arts skills and techniques practised by CBBAG members. Exhibition categories include: fine binding, fine printing, artists' books, box making, papermaking, paper decoration, calligraphy, and restoration.

Four jurors with international reputations examined 124 entries from 10 countries, chose 67 works, and selected 10 for awards.

The print catalogue includes the jurors' explanations of the factors that went into the selection process. Learn more here.
