Canadian Made this holiday season 🙌

Canadian Made this holiday season 🙌

With cold winter weather comes the warm holiday season feelings. Those gift giving vibes sneak in and we find ourselves searching for the perfect gift nice and early!

As the winter season approaches, artists and craftspeople ramp up their production in anticipation for their busiest time of the year. Some makers depend on most or all of their annual income in the fall and winter months! This is the time that the Craft Ontario Shop ramps up our support-for-artists efforts too.

It goes without saying that the turbulence since 2020 has impacted creatives throughout the world, but the shockwaves continue to affect small arts businesses. Traditionally, with social and economic instability, the arts sector is one of the first places to see reduced spending. In light of this fact, our initiative to encourage you to support your local economy stands extra strong this year!

Please look within your community for your holiday shopping this season. While supporting fellow Canadian makers, you will also reduce your environmental footprint by avoiding large scale manufacturing and overseas shipping.

Craft work always make meaningful and long lasting gifts!
