Formerly the Ontario Crafts Council, Craft Ontario is a not-for-profit service organization that works to have craft recognized as a valuable part of life. We promote and celebrate professional craft through providing member opportunities, and advocate for craft practice by educating and empowering diverse audiences.
Lindsay Montgomery is an artist working across a variety of media including painting, video, ceramics, and puppetry. Her work is focused on the construction of a personal fantasy-based mythology that explores issues of death, family, beauty, and history. She holds degrees from The Sheridan College School of Crafts and Design, the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, and the University of Minnesota. Lindsay currently lives and works in Toronto, and teaches at Sheridan College, The University of Waterloo, and the Gardiner Museum.
